Where we can help
Work is limited to what our naval architects are qualified to carry out. We do not approve plans or issue certificates.
- Design review
- Review of drawings, specifications and technical packages for consistency and practicality.
- Stability calculations
- Intact and damage stability calculations, loading condition and trim assessments, and stability review for new and existing vessels, including past work on floating pontoons for water transport projects. Calculations are prepared by qualified naval architects.
- Technical evaluation
- Structured assessment of vessel or project technical status to support investment or operational decisions.
- Limits of scope
- Where a class society, flag administration or project requires independent review or approval of a calculation or design, that approval remains with the relevant authority. We can prepare material for that process, but we do not substitute for it.
What to send with a naval architecture enquiry
Technical questions are easier to scope when the starting information is complete.
- The vessel
- Type, principal dimensions, lines or general arrangement, and the condition or loading cases to be considered.
- The question
- Stability, trim, strength, modification feasibility or design review, written as precisely as you can.
- The existing data
- Previous stability booklets, approved plans, class correspondence and any calculation files you hold.
- The use
- Whether the result supports a decision, a class or flag submission, or an internal review, so the output suits its audience.
